How To Talk To The Police When Stopped For A Traffic Violation

By David Quinn When I first started police work about 10 years ago, I would never of guessed in a million years I would see what I see daily. I’m not talking about the stuff that everyone associates with police work, like murder scenes, accidents, gangs, etc., those are a given. I’m talking about traffic stops specifically, and how you’re talked to as an officer on these stops at times. Let me explain. Here’s a situation I was in one time where I was working a school zone area. We had received numerous complaints from the school that people were constantly speeding up and down the road. Of course, there were children in the area so it was somewhat serious. Let me also add, my general rule as an individual officer is (and every officer is different), is stopping for 15 MPH over, and issuing the ticket for 5 MPH over. I think that’s more then fair, and most people are happy to hear that. But there’s always that one guy or girl that wants to give you a hard time as a police officer. I can remember stopping a guy that was going 19 over (54 MPH in a 35 MPH zone). The guy was very polite until I came back with the ticket for 5 over. That’s when all hell broke lose. He started yelling at me, and even tried getting out of his car (I pushed it back shut and told him to deal with it in court, not here). Literally, for about 4 minutes, I listened to him yelling at me telling me he was having a bad day and that he didn’t deserve a ticket because of that. He was yelling so loud that he was spitting as he was talking. If you were driving by, you might think he was having a seizure or something (this example is a little more extreme then most). The whole time, I’m trying to be nice explaining that its only for 5 over; that other people were cited for the same amount; etc. But he didn’t care (one thing you learn after working the streets for awhile is no matter how much you talk, how convincing, how much proof, etc. you have, some people DO NOT want to hear what you’re saying). Long story short, I finally got mad and told him to wait in his car. I went back to my cruiser for a moment and put the ticket back to the original amount of 19 MPH over (as the ticket was never actually issued since he refused to take it originally). When I returned, I listened for about 10 seconds, and tossed the ticket in his car since he wouldn’t take it, and walked away. There was no point in standing there as he had his mind made up. The whole point to this is all I wanted to do was issue the ticket while at the same time giving him a break. But some people don’t want breaks. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve dealt with that are rude and disrespectful during a stop. I don’t mind people asking me why I stopped them, or even explaining why they did what they did; that’s all fine, but yelling at me isn’t going to help. So I’ve put together some examples of things NOT to do to help yourself on a traffic stop: 1. Be respectful just as you would when talking to a friend or family member. You don’t have to kiss up, but you should try to be professional and polite when talking to the officer. Its important to remember that officers take in a lot everyday, and their patience starts to wear thin. 2. Don’t yell out immediately “Why did you stop me!” I can’t tell you many times this actually happens. I even get a lot of “Why the f**k did you stop me?” It still amazes me. Obviously this will not help you at all. 3. Showing off in front of your friends in the car is not good. For instance, ignoring the officer while he’s standing there, keeping your radio turned up loud, looking away, etc. 4. Blatant lying. Probably 7 out of every 10 people I stop tell me they didn’t do what I just saw them do. If you’re going to do this, at least be a little bit convincing. For example, I’ve had people tell me far fetched versions of coming to a complete stop at a stop sign for instance, when they went through it so fast I’ve had to look up to make sure the sign was still posted. I can tell you from personal experience, the people that are honest with me, apologize, and tell me the reason (i.e. I’m running late for work, I apologize) will usually get the breaks. My personal attitude is since its been my experience that since I feel that most are being dishonest with me, why not reward the ones that are honest. 5. Fake tears. If an experienced officer suspects that you are crying purposely to get out of a ticket, you will almost always get the ticket and no break. 6. Telling the officer things like “You don’t have anything better to do with your time?” and “You mean to tell me this is more important then catching a bank robber?” These statements are all too often used, and will not help you at all. These are just a few things you can do to help yourself when getting pulled over. Just remember, these officers are just doing their jobs. The more resistance you give them in doing their jobs, the more resistance you’re likely to get yourself. If you’re convinced you did nothing wrong, don’t argue with the officer; handle it in court. Explaining your case to a judge or magistrate in a calm, professional and logical manner will go much farther then arguing or giving the officer a hard time in the street. How a Baby Grows

By Jacqueline Flynn Once a woman becomes pregnant, they can become fascinated by the way that the baby is growing inside of her. Its a miraculous process, the way that a child grows into a complete human being inside of a woman. But it doesnt have to be a mystery that only shows itself during the ultrasound appointments. Finding out about the way that your child is growing and changing will help you become even more attached to this new little person. Your body changes as the baby inside of you changes. With each new development, your body needs to adapt to protect it more. And as you get closer to the actual birth, your body will begin to shift in order to ready itself for the birthing process the opening of the hips and the cervix, for example. But what about baby? At about seven weeks, youve probably just found out about your pregnancy and youre very excited. Right now, baby is an embryo thats about the size of a blackberry or a raspberry. He or she has a beating heart thats very small, but strong. This embryo is going to be growing a lot in the next few weeks. At about eight weeks, the baby is about the size of a lima bean and is moving around a lot. You might experience this as a sensation of gas or fluttering. Thats actually the baby moving around, though its not begin enough for you to feel on the surface of your abdomen. The baby also have webbed fingers at this point and it beginning to develop toes as well. In the third month, the baby is approximately the size of a lime and is transparent in color. At this point, he or she is going to start looking like a baby with a distinct face that you will be able to see on an ultrasound. At four months, the baby is about four and a half inches long and pumping blood throughout their body. On the outer layer of his or her body, there is a fine layer of hair called lanugo. The body is growing rapidly in the next few weeks and the urinary system is working as well as the circulatory system the heart can pump about twenty five quarts of blood per day at this stage. At five months, the babys skin is covered with vernix caseosa to protect it further. He or she is about ten inches long heel to head. Baby is starting to test out their digestive system by swallowing a lot more. In this stage, he or she is also producing meconium, a sticky messy substance that you will be able to see in their first diaper. In the next month, baby grows further to about a foot in length and is showing eyelids and eyebrows. The skin is becoming wrinkled and the baby weighs about a pound. In the final trimester, a seven month baby will weigh just over two pounds and will measure about fifteen inches in length. The baby is starting to accumulate body fat in order to be ready to live outside of your body. At the eighth month, the baby can have hair on their head (or rather, fuzz) and will probably be turned upside down now in order to be able to be born easily. The baby can weight about four pounds at this time. In the final month, baby weights about five to six pounds (this will vary widely from mom to mom) and measures over eighteen inches in length usually. This is a fully developed person now and is ready to come out to meet you. If your baby isnt quite ready and isnt showing signs of contractions by a week after your due date, your physician may recommend that your labor be induced. This will make sure that complications dont arise from baby being in your womb for too long. All babies and all mothers are different, so this is just a few guidelines for a babys growth. Some grow faster and others do not. But in the process of pregnancy, its what happens at the end that matters: the birth of a healthy and happy baby. Natural Breast Augmentation

By Ivar Rudi There are other ways to achieve a breast augmentation other than actually having surgery. There are ways of changing the appearance of your breasts and not having to go under the knife. You can do a few simple things on your own and it will look like you have natural and beautiful breasts. Anyone can make their breasts look bigger themselves by doing a few things. If you have thought about having plastic surgery, done in order to make you feel sexier and to make your clothes fit you better, then you should hear about a few things first. A few natural products that you can do will make your breasts appear bigger and fuller. One step for natural breast augmentation is creams. Many manufacturers have come up with productive creams that will enhance the appearance of breasts over a certain amount of time. These creams will stimulate the breasts so that they will actually grow in size. Obviously, you will not have dramatic results right away. However, you will see a change in your breast appearance and it is one that you will like. Most of these creams can be bough over the counter and need to be applied on a regular basis. Another good idea for natural breast augmentation is to take vitamins. Some pills will actually enhance your breasts over an extended period of time when you use the pills on a regular basis. These pills can be bought online or at some drug stores. The breast enlargement pills and vitamins will help to make your cup size bigger and make your breasts feel fuller and firm. You will find that these pills will help to completely transform your body into the one that you have always wanted with out the painful surgery. If you are not sure about using the pills and the vitamins in order to make your breasts larger and look more full, you can always use the padding and padded bras. When you opt to use padding in your bras, it does not mean stuff it with tissue. Instead, there are cups that you can place inside your bra that will make your breasts look natural and beautiful. You will not have to under go any kind of breast augmentation in order to get this desired look and feel. You can also buy a padded or push up bra to help give your breasts a lift. These bras will give the illusion of larger and fuller breasts with out having to have any kind of breast augmentation done. This is something that you can choose to do on certain occasions or you can wear the added padding all the time. Either way, this will give you the freedom to do look the way that you want in order to feel good about your body. Copyright 2006 – Ivar Rudi. Cosmetic Surgery

By Dorothy Dunnawaye Cosmetic surgery changes can be very dramatic and permanent. These changes can promote a positive self image. People who opt for cosmetic surgery are often self conscious and inhibited. The surgery can give them a boost of self confidence. If you opt for cosmetic surgery you must be honest with yourself. Exactly what are your expectations? What do your believe cosmetic surgery will do for you? If you are seeking cosmetic surgery with the hope that it will change someone else’s opinion of yourself you may be disappointed. Your expectations should be based entirely on the way you feel and think about yourself. Some people are prime candidates for not getting plastic surgery. These patients are people going through a personal crisis, with unreal expectations or people who are obsessed with a minor flaw. When consulting with a plastic surgeon they will ask you point blank questions and expect honest answers. They will ask you questions about how you feel about your looks, how you feel about other people’s perceptions of you and your looks and how you’d prefer to look and feel. It is important that you are candid and honest with your cosmetic surgeon. At the end of the consultation you should feel confident in your plastic surgeon and confident that they understand exactly what changes you are seeking. After the plastic surgery procedure has been completed it is important that you take time to adjust to the changes in your appearance. Especially if you have had breast surgery, nose surgery or another surgery that dramatically changes your appearance. The image in the mirror may not seem familiar to you. After surgery many patients feel depressed. It is important that you have emotional support during your recovery. During the first week of recovery most patients will be swollen and bruised. They will not be looking their best. It is important that you have somebody there for support. Either a family member, friend or your cosmetic surgeon. Knowing what to expect after surgery can help you through this period. Don’t be afraid to ask your cosmetic surgeon as many questions about your post operatic condition as the plastic surgery procedure. The results of your surgery will probably create a lot of comments from your family, friends and associates. Some may be positive and others less so. Some people will not understand why you had cosmetic surgery at all. Everybody has their own opinion. It is important that the reason you had plastic surgery in the first place was for you and how you wanted to feel about yourself. If you are happy with the way you look then the surgery was successful. Nobody else’s opinion should matter. Liposuction Surgery

By Seth Miller Liposuction surgery is a type of cosmetic surgery that gets rid of fat cells in certain places of your body so you can look thinner. While a lot of people get liposuction so they can look thinner, some feel they need it to help control their health. Either way, the majority opinion is that it is a cosmetic surgery. If you are considering liposuction surgery, here is some advice on how you can determine if it is right for you. First, ask yourself how badly you want to be thin. Liposuction surgery actually removes the fat cells from your body. Once they go away, they can never come back. This may seem like a good thing, but it isn’t necessarily positive. Let’s say you start gaining weight again. Since some of your fat cells are missing, you won’t put on pounds in those areas. The end result is a slightly heavier frame that is out of balance and has lumps throughout. Also keep in mind that people have died on the operating table during this procedure. You must want the surgery badly to risk your health for beauty. Liposuction surgery does have its positive aspects. What if you are thin and have a fairly low body fat count. You work out constantly, but you still have cellulite on your thighs. Well, you could be a perfect candidate for liposuction surgery. Consult a specialist, and they will tell you exactly what the procedure is like and help you determine if it is something you truly want to do. Cosmetic surgeries, such as liposuction, exist almost completely to enhance your looks. However, this is not always the case. If you do decide to get liposuction for whatever reason, be sure to find a specialist who will perform the surgery correctly. However, there are risks, so you want to make sure you are getting the surgery for the right reasons. Liposuction provides detailed information on Liposuction, Liposuction Cost, Abdominal Liposuction, Tumescent Liposuction and more. Liposuction is affiliated with Mini Tummy Tuck. The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Pt 3.

By Anthony Smith The Life. Death is a way of life, in this existence that we are all part of. Death waits for no man, but comes at an appointed time, date and second. Death is actually the moment of separation of the spirit from the flesh. We are all immortal. Can we cheat Death? No. For we, as believers, cannot inter into the Kingdom with our Flesh and Blood. Neither can those that refuse to believe in Christ, inter into Hell with this body of Flesh. We must die, so that we can put off this mortal body and put on an immortal body. Psa 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. Redeemed; Ransomed; delivered from bondage, distress, penalty, liability, or from the possession of another, by paying an equivalent. Commit; To put into any place for preservation, To give in trust; to put into the hands or power of another; to entrust. 1Co 15:53-55; For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting?(The Sting of Death Here is Sin.) O grave, where is thy victory?(The Victory is the holding of the spirit in the Grave.) James 2:26; For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Psa 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Jesus said that, I Am, The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Death is not the end of Life, for Jesus beat death and the grave, it can no longer hold the believer. For if Jesus did not raise from the dead, we would be, of all peoples, most miserable. Jesus being the life is based on His conquering of Death and the Grave. This spirit, which is not of flesh, is released at the moment of death and is judged on its works weather they were good or evil. In Rev 20:12 we see the truth of this matter.; And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. The Life that is spoken of here is the same life that Jesus came to give freely to all that would believe on Him. The body pays its price, for sin, at the grave. Jer 32:19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:. God sees all, and is informed of all, that we do. Life therefore is only given to those that are recognized by Christ and God as theirs. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. The second death is prepared for those that rejected Christ and the free gift of life. 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. This is speaking of the second death. God had heard the weeping of His Son on the Cross and before. He knows of the pain and suffering that His Son endured, He will not allow anyone that rejects His Sons sacrifice to enter into Life everlasting. Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: I Am,The Way, The Truth, and The Life. ars. depart: Psa_5:6, Psa_6:8, Psa_28:3, Psa_101:8, Psa_119:115, Psa_125:5; Hos_9:12; Mat_25:41 according: Rev_20:13, Rev_2:23, Rev_22:12; Psa_28:4, Psa_62:12; Pro_24:12, Pro_24:29; Ecc_12:14; Jer_17:10; Jer_32:19; Mat_16:27; Rom_2:6; 2Co_5:10 Mat 25:41 – them: Mat_25:33 Depart: Mat_7:23; Psa_6:8, Psa_119:115, Psa_139:19; Luk_13:27 ye cursed: Deu_27:15-26, 28:16-68; Psa_119:21; Jer_17:5; Gal_3:10-13; Heb_6:8 everlasting: Mat_25:46, Mat_3:12, Mat_13:40,Mat_13:42, Mat_13:50; Mar_9:43-48; 2Th_1:9; Rev_14:10,Rev_14:11, Rev_20:10-15 prepared: Joh_8:44; Rom_9:22, Rom_9:23; 2Pe_2:4; 1Jo_3:10; Jud_1:6; Rev_12:7-9 Psa 31:5 – Into: Luk_23:46; Act_7:59; 2Ti_1:12 thou: Psa_71:23, Psa_130:8; Gen_48:16; Lev_25:48; Isa_50:2; Tit_2:14; 1Pe_1:18, 1Pe_1:19; Rev_5:9 God: Deu_32:4; 2Ti_2:13; Tit_1:2; Heb_6:18 Temple of Spirit & Truth Ministries A.R.Smith Ministries http://www.ourchurch.com/member/a/arsmithsermons/ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Anthony_Smith http://EzineArticles.com/?The-Way,-The-Truth,-and-The-Life.-Pt-3.&id=246940 canada cash fast loan cit personal loans bad credit student loan offers instant payday loans

How to Create a Great Electronic Resume

By Vincent Czaplyski After creating the perfect resume, you then need to distribute it. You’ll likely be sending some professionally printed hard copies, especially to “A list” companies or organizations you’ve set your sights on. But just as likely, you’ll be distributing other copies electronically. Presuming you’ve written a great resume to begin with, here’s what you really need to know about your electronic version: 1. It must be searchable. 2. It must be in ASCII format. Searchable: Someone searching the Internet resume banks for the perfect candidate (you) needs to be able to weed out all the unqualified candidates, which potentially number in the tens of thousands nowadays. Typically, they’ll enter search terms intended to eliminate the vast majority of posted resumes and select the most promising. They do this much as one might perform an Internet search on Google or another search engine, by entering key word search terms Their search might be limited to a certain geographical area, a certain skill set or qualification, or a certain job description, among obvious search categories. The geographical part is easy – your contact information will help someone looking for a software designer in San Francisco Bay area or a pretzel maker in Milwaukee find you if you are qualified and live in the right part of the world. However, if you have technical qualifications that can be searched in different ways – “Bachelor of Science” and “B.Sc.” for example, your resume should use both variants so that a search engine finds you either way. And if you possess job experience that’s highly relevant to the job in question, be sure to describe it in the most common ways that it would likely be searched on. Tip: Read through your completed resume and see if you can’t describe qualifications, degrees, or job titles in multiple alternative ways throughout the resume. This will increase the chances you’ll be found in an online search. ASCII Format: Your professionally laid out and formatted paper resume may end up looking like gibberish if simply transformed into an electronic copy. Programs like Word allow you to format nice looking documents with features such as tabs, bullets, centering, bold, italic and other word processing niceties. Unfortunately, when converted to electronic form, many of these word processing features are lost. Worse, what’s left over may bear no resemblance to the exquisite resume that you labored over to produce. Fortunately, there is an easy solution. You can prepare a simple text version in a text editor like Notepad or any of the dozens of other text editors out there. In this case, you’ll replace many of these text effects. For example, you’ll replace bullets with asterisks, word wrap with a hard carriage return, and tabs and justification effects with simple spaces. Another solution is to use a program specifically designed for writing resumes like WinWay Resume Express. (See the “Do It Yourself Resumes” page at www.Impressive-Resumes.com to learn more about this inexpensive handy program.) It features an easy way to transform your resume into a searchable electronic version with very little effort after you’ve created the word processing formatted version. No matter which method you use, be sure you’ve taken these simple preparations for electronic distribution before you hit “send.” This will greatly increase the chances that your resume will reach its intended audience. Aromatherapy Essential Oils: Seven Essentials You Should Know

By Art Turner Aromatherapy uses essential oils to treat medical conditions, to alleviate psychological ailments, for cosmetic purposes, and to reduce stress. The essential oils of aromatherapy have the power to enhance both your physical and mental state. Essential oils are extracted from living plants and trees. When essential oils are used appropriately, most can be used at home safely, enjoyably, and with beneficial effects. Keep the following seven things in mind if you want to try aromatherapy at home. (1) Most essential oils should never be applied directly without diluting them. Only lavender and tea tree oil are exceptions to this rule. (2) Essential oils are flammable, so use extreme caution around flames and heat sources. If you use a burner to diffuse the oil, put water in the burner first. The essential oil will enter the air as the water evaporates. (3) Essential oils are for external use only. On very rare occasions, a qualified aromatherapist may prescribe essential oils by mouth. Some essential oils can be very toxic if swallowed. Even essential oils that have a therapeutic effect when diluted in certain oral treatments (like mouthwash) should not be swallowed. (4) Keep all essential oils out of the reach of children. (5) If you want to use essential oils during pregnancy, on babies, or with young children, please seek the advice of a trained, qualified aromatherapist first. (6) If you are using essential oils as part of homeopathic or herbal medicine treatment, get advice from homeopathic or herbal medicine practitioners as well as from an aromatherapist. (7) Some medical conditions require a doctor’s care, and not all medical conditions benefit from aromatherapy. Always check with your doctor first before undertaking aromatherapy for the treatment of any medical condition. Following these seven principles for safe aromatherapy will help your experience with aromatherapy to be both enjoyable and beneficial. Wedding Reception Ideas

By Jen Carter Truly unique wedding reception ideas are often hard to come by. In an age where many bride and groom wish for their wedding to be special and truly creative, finding innovative ideas for edding receptions is much sought after. Much of what you decide to do for your wedding reception party will have to do with your overall wedding plan your theme. Sticking with a planned theme can often make planning your reception more difficult. For example, throwing a Western cowboy themed wedding makes it difficult to throw a reception at a cozy ski hill resort without breaking with your theme. The best thing to do is to plan the majority of your wedding events around what you want your wedding ceremony location and particulars. Since location is probably one of the most important aspects of planning a wedding, we suggest looking at unique locations first and ask yourself (and the owner) whether those places would fit your wedding reception idea. Some ideas might be: Romantic restaurants Small cruise Ranch or private home Sports venue Private or rented movie theatre Ballroom Amphitheatre or outdoor venue (good in sunny weather locales) Ski Lodge Cornfield clearing complete with tents and large awnings There are many ideas for locations for wedding receptions (and weddings for that matter). Once you have selected the proper location, find out if the location supports the number of people for your reception the entertainment, refreshments, food and people. Why not try customized refreshments, themed wedding favors, even reception games. By being creative with location and your wedding theme, you will find that the rest of the wedding reception planning will fall right into place. The Dark Side of The Pope

By Roy Klienwachter If you look at just the man/women after he/she has died, what part of the humanity do you eulogize? Every person has something to bring to us in his or her death; it is a gift from the other side and is the knowledge of the past and an open door to a new path for the future. The life lived by any person can motivate us to a brighter and more enlightened future. Most of us try to eulogize all the good stuff we know of the person, and yet there is much to be learned about of this person and his life from the dark side as well, the side that we know little about. Our lives are all physical statements of how enlightened we are and were we stand on the path to total awareness; it is our thought process gone physical. Ones light can only shine from the background of darkness and if light was all that there was we would not know it. The Late John Paul II, leader of the Roman Catholic Church died leaving behind Christianitys testament to the dark side of humanity. On the lighter side of the Popes tenure at the Vatican, he made several gestures of reform marking his higher level of awareness for all of history to learn from. He openly admitted and apologized for the evil and wrong doing of the Church over thousands of years of its history. He apologized for the Holy Wars, and the murders and persecutions of persons who spoke out against Catholic policy and believes. He apologized for the persecution of the Jews, reformers and other philosophers of the times. The Pope recognized that some of the atrocities the church did in the past did not work for it and he spoke out. The apologies brought to light the need for reform in the Catholic Church, Christianity and all religions. I believe that the Pope did not go far enough, and it may have been the best that he could do in his short time. It may also be a move to try and bring back believers to the fold by appearing to be progressive, repentant and apologetic. What the Pope brought into the light was the dark side of humanity and the Roman Catholic Church. Men cloaked in good deeds are well camouflaged; those that could not see suffered and died for the Church that was in contradiction with itself. The church has been primarily responsibly for the division of man from man, man from woman and man from God and its general policies have not changed in John Pauls administration. The church still promotes oppression, fear and guilt and I dont remember hearing the Pope proclaim that its members are free to explore their own spirituality outside of the doctrine of the Catholic Church (the box). I dont remember hearing him say that the soul is a free spirit to choose how it wishes to experience its physical life. Catholics are not free people within the body of the church and Christianity continues to promote fear, guilt, oppression and regression. The Pope stopped short of freeing his people while the church still practices assimilation. As people from around the world eulogized the Pope, what is the gift that they will receive from his death? Will they see the need to open up the box and set the spirit free or make the reins even tighter? What was the purpose for John Paul II and what did the man bring to the world? Was he just another Pope perpetuating the doctrines of a dying church, or did he bring some new life into it. The man has died, but the Pope left a sign behind for all to read and all people will not read it the same way. John Paul II represented the light that shines in Catholicism and also the dark side of Christianity and religion. In this new awareness comes the opportunity for change and enlightenment. Man can never be the light, he can only move back to it. Religion can never be God; it is mans attempt to explain God. The church can never be God or represent collectively mans awareness of spirituality and it can never interpret what God wants for man, because God is in all men and women. God is all that there is, and there is nothing else, all of life is God. Humankinds attempt to put spirituality into a box has failed; it is obvious that what humanity wanted from the Church has not worked for him. To know what God wants man only needs to look around him, and know that all that was created is perfect and is in harmony with Gods will. Life has only one will and that is to create more life. What humanity gets out of the death of a Pope will be that of his own resolve, from plain ignorance of the fact to loss and grief. The Pope himself was just a physical symbol of ancient philosophy, but he was also a man amongst men and his presence was known; he reached the epitome of a personal wish to serve what he believed to be his truth, for better or worse and no man can do more. Let the death of this Pope be the death of the dark side of the Catholic Church and Christianity. Let us celebrate the man that brought us light and the beginning of a new age of awareness. It is my hope that it will be used as a stepping stone into enlightenment. Roy E. Klienwachter is a resident of British Columbia, Canada.
